Smug liberal reporter April Ryan had the nerve to ask White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Wednesday if President Donald Trump is “un-American.” Sanders, however, wasn’t having any of it, and she responded by putting the fear of God into the press corps.

The Daily Caller reported that Ryan asked Sanders about the president’s tone when questioning Democratic lawmakers’ behavior during his State of the Union address last week. Since then, President Trump has expressed his serious disappointment with Democrats who refused to stand during certain segments, including his touting of historic lows in black unemployment and his comments on the national anthem.

Ryan claimed that such behavior is standard for SOTU addresses saying that, “If it’s a Democratic president, the Republicans sit, if it’s a Republican president, the Democrats sit.”

“What is so un-American about this, this year, after this has been going on for all of these years?” she asked.

Sanders wasted no time in shutting her down with her response.

“I think its un-American not to be excited about the fact that more people in this country have jobs than they did before, the fact that more people in this country have higher wages than they did before, the fact that the economy is booming like it wasn’t before, the fact that ISIS is being crushed like it wasn’t before,” she flatly answered. “These are things that I don’t care what party you are from, these are things that every American should be excited about and be able to celebrate.”

BOOM!

Immediately after the State of the Union address, Sanders spoke out to eviscerate House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi for the way she behaved during it.

“The room last night was grossly divided, I’ve never seen Nancy Pelosi’s face like that,” CNN host Chris Cuomo began.

Sanders responded by saying that in order to unify the country, Trump should continue to do “exactly what he did” during his Tuesday address before taking aim at Pelosi.

“I think Nancy Pelosi looks like that all the time,” she said Wednesday morning. “I think she should smile a lot more often. I think the country would be better for it.”

“She seems to kind of embody the bitterness that belongs in the Democrat party right now,” Sanders continued. “I think last night was a good step forward. Hopefully they can let go of some of that. They need to decide Chris, do they love America more than they hate this President? And are they willing to put some of those differences aside, come together and do what’s right for this country?”
